Included in the agreed scope
Fitting of laminate flooring: subfloor check and light preparation, underlay, laying with expansion gaps, cutting around doors and pipework, thresholds and beading or scotia. Pre-conditions: the room is cleared, flooring is acclimatised in the property beforehand, and the subfloor is dry, sound and reasonably level.
Not included
Supply of the flooring unless quoted. Latex screeding, plywood overlay or major levelling, damp-proof membranes, skirting replacement and decorating. Lifting and disposing of the existing floor, radiator removal and door trimming unless listed. Stairs, which are quoted separately.

Starting price
From £14 per m² (labour only)
Minimum job or visit charge confirmed in your written quote. Indicative starting rate for the stated scope; the complete price depends on size, condition, access and any agreed extras. Scope, duration and price confirmed in writing before booking.
- Agreed scope
- Straight lay on a prepared, dry, level subfloor in an empty room. Materials, levelling, uplift, waste and door alterations are extra. Measured area and full project price are confirmed in writing.
- Additional charges
- Work found outside the agreed scope is stopped and reported first. It is re-quoted in writing and only carried out once you approve it. Nothing extra is charged automatically.
- Materials
- Underlay, beading, thresholds and fixings itemised on the quotation. The flooring itself is supplied by the customer or quoted as a separate line.
- Availability
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Saturday visits by arrangement. Evening, weekend and urgent slots are confirmed when we quote, not guaranteed. For a clearly specified job we can price from photographs and measurements you send us. A survey is arranged instead when access, condition or substrate is unclear.

Starting prices are indicative and, where a minimum charge is shown, the minimum applies to a single job or visit. Your final quote depends on property size, condition, access and the agreed scope of work. Any additional charges will be included in your quote before you confirm.

Is underlay included?
Laminate is laid on underlay with expansion gaps, thresholds and beading. The underlay and laminate specification is confirmed in your quotation.
Do you remove the old floor?
Removal of an existing floor covering can be arranged and is quoted separately.
How is laminate fitting priced?
By floor area in square metres, subject to the minimum project charge shown on this page. Room shape, doorways and subfloor levelling also affect the quotation.
