Planned garden and grounds maintenance for private gardens, communal areas and managed properties. New visits start at £35 per operative hour with a minimum of 3 total operative hours (£105); two gardeners working 1.5 hours each count as 3 operative hours. We agree the maintained areas, visit frequency and task list before work begins. Waste removal, specialist tree work and additional supplies are quoted separately. Existing contracts retain their agreed rates and terms.

Gardening visits start from £81 for a minimum of 3 total operative hours; labour is £27 per operative hour, subject to that visit minimum. Lawn mowing, tidy-ups and hedge trimming can be quoted as additional tasks on a booked visit. Waste collections require a separate written quotation. Final scope, extras and price are confirmed before work begins. Sea Lighter Services is not currently VAT registered. No VAT is charged on the prices shown.

Regular upkeep or a garden clearance?
Regular visits maintain an agreed standard; a heavily overgrown garden may first need a separately scoped tidy-up or clearance. Weekly, fortnightly or monthly visits can be discussed. Frequency and seasonal tasks depend on growth, weather, the site and your priorities rather than a fixed checklist for every month.
Prepare for a gardening quotation
Send the postcode, approximate size, current photographs and the tasks you want completed. Include gate widths, steps, access through the property and parking details. These affect the labour and equipment required. We confirm the visit minimum, scope and any additional tasks in the written quotation.
Agree how green waste will be handled
Tell us whether clippings can remain in a suitable area on site or whether you need collection. Waste collections require a separate written quotation; do not assume removal is included in the gardening labour price. Other waste, bulky items and property repairs should be identified separately when requesting a quote.

What is included in grounds maintenance?
An agreed visit can cover lawn mowing, hedge trimming, pruning, weed control, leaf clearance and upkeep of shared outdoor areas. The task list depends on the site, season and condition. Extensive clearance and waste collection need their own agreed scope.
How is a grounds maintenance quote calculated?
We consider the area, condition, vegetation, access, required equipment and visit frequency. Send current photos, the postcode and an approximate size. The quotation confirms labour, the visit minimum, additional tasks and any separately quoted waste collection.
Do you take away the green waste?
Green-waste collection can be arranged as a registered waste carrier and requires a separate written quotation. Alternatively, agree a suitable place for clippings to remain on site. Confirm your preference before the visit; collection is not automatically included in gardening labour.
Do you need access to the garden if nobody is home?
We need clear access via a gate, side return or key arrangement. Rear-only access through the property requires someone present.
Can you set up a regular schedule?
Yes — weekly, fortnightly or monthly visits are common for blocks, housing schemes and private gardens.
