Review the included work, exclusions and payment terms. Your booking date is confirmed separately with our team.
3. We prepare and deliver
The assigned team follows the agreed scope. Changes are discussed and approved before additional work proceeds.
4. Check the result together
We review the completed work, record any outstanding items and provide the agreed handover information.
For electrical work: Define electrical scope, existing information and required competent contractor.
Please report any concerns through your usual Sea Lighter contact. Recurring visits and aftercare are agreed for your particular service.
What we cover
Scope of this service
- Sockets, switches and light fittings
- Fault finding and small remedial works
- Consumer unit and circuit work by registered electricians
- Certification issued by the qualified contractor

Included in the agreed scope
Electrical repairs and installations arranged for you: sockets, switches, light fittings, consumer-unit faults, testing and certification, all carried out by a competent-person-scheme registered electrician. Pre-conditions: access to the consumer unit, agreement to isolate supply where needed, and details of the existing installation.
Not included
Work Sea Lighter's own team is not qualified for is never carried out in-house. Excluded from the hourly rate: materials and accessories, EICR remedial works, rewires, supply upgrades and DNO works, fire alarm and emergency lighting system certification, and builder's work such as chasing, plastering and decorating.

- Minimum 5 total operative hours per job/visit; visit starts from £340 before any eligible discount. Operative hours are combined worker-hours (2 workers for 2.5 hours = 5 hours). The minimum applies once to the visit, including eligible extras.
Regulated or specialist elements of this work are carried out by appropriately qualified and, where required, registered contractors, coordinated by Sea Lighter.

Starting price
From £68 per operative hour
5 total operative hours minimum; minimum visit £340. Labour rate £68 per operative hour for the agreed task list and duration, not a guarantee that every task will be completed within that time. Tools, products and equipment are supplied as described in the service scope.

- Labour only, subject to a qualified partner’s cost and scope review. Minimum 5 total operative hours; certification, testing and materials are scoped separately before approval.

- Additional charges
- Work found outside the agreed scope is stopped and reported first. It is re-quoted in writing and only carried out once you approve it. Nothing extra is charged automatically.
- Materials
- Accessories, cable and consumables quoted separately unless listed on the quotation.
- Availability
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Saturday visits by arrangement. Evening, weekend and urgent slots are confirmed when we quote, not guaranteed. Notifiable work is scheduled around certification and, where needed, building control notification.
- Delivered by
- Coordinated for you and carried out by an appropriately qualified and registered contractor. Sea Lighter manages the job, the access and the paperwork; the regulated work itself is signed off by the qualified engineer or electrician.
Starting prices are indicative and, where a minimum charge is shown, the minimum applies to a single job or visit. Your final quote depends on property size, condition, access and the agreed scope of work. Any additional charges will be included in your quote before you confirm.
