Included in the agreed scope
Carpet fitting: gripper rods, underlay, laying, stretching, trimming, seams where needed, doorway bars and finishing. Pre-conditions: the room is cleared, the subfloor is sound, dry and free of protruding fixings, and the carpet and underlay are on site before the fitting date.
Not included
Supply of carpet unless quoted. Subfloor levelling or replacement, damp treatment, uplift and disposal of the old carpet unless listed, furniture moving, door trimming and decorating. Stairs and landings, which are measured and quoted separately.

Starting price
From £9 per m² (labour only)
Minimum job or visit charge confirmed in your written quote. Indicative starting rate for the stated scope; the complete price depends on size, condition, access and any agreed extras. Scope, duration and price confirmed in writing before booking.
- Agreed scope
- Standard straight rooms. Stairs, seams, underlay, uplift, grippers and thresholds are assessed separately. Measured area and full project price are confirmed in writing.
- Additional charges
- Work found outside the agreed scope is stopped and reported first. It is re-quoted in writing and only carried out once you approve it. Nothing extra is charged automatically.
- Materials
- Gripper, underlay, bars and fixings itemised on the quotation; carpet supplied by the customer or quoted separately.
- Availability
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Saturday visits by arrangement. Evening, weekend and urgent slots are confirmed when we quote, not guaranteed. For a clearly specified job we can price from photographs and measurements you send us. A survey is arranged instead when access, condition or substrate is unclear.

Starting prices are indicative and, where a minimum charge is shown, the minimum applies to a single job or visit. Your final quote depends on property size, condition, access and the agreed scope of work. Any additional charges will be included in your quote before you confirm.

What does carpet fitting include?
Gripper rods and underlay are fitted, the carpet is laid, stretched and trimmed, and doorway bars and thresholds are finished. Offcuts are removed on completion.
Do you take away the old carpet?
Uplift and disposal of old carpet can be arranged and is quoted separately.
How is carpet fitting priced?
By floor area in square metres, subject to the minimum project charge shown on this page. Stairs, seams and the carpet and underlay specification also affect the quotation.
